Turning a hobby into a small business
I learned how to crochet in 2021, and what started as a way to unwind during a stressful time in my business, with Covid upon us, quickly became something much more. Friends began asking for my bags, and their encouragement planted a seed. After selling my hospitality business in 2022 and spending a year travelling through Europe in my trusty motorhome Delilah, with my partner Darren and my Husky named Diesel, I came home with a loose plan to create a small business, doing something I love, that would also fit in with my lifestyle.
In summer 2025, I took the leap. Now, from my little workshop at home, every Paula bag is made with care, intention, and a whole lot of love. My mission is simple: to make every customer feel truly individual and special — because you deserve something made just for you that reflects your personality.
